  March Movie Top 10
April 6th, 2008 by jamesd
march little miss sunshine

The last days we have been counting the votes and ranked the best rated movies last month. In March our little film top 10 got quite pink in my opinion. So I guess the ladies like their Pink Popcorn Friday!

The top spot however, was taken by a casual movie, getting the most votes on our site ever. So without further ado, based on your votes, here are the best movies of March — if you are interested in the best rated movies in February you can follow this link.

little miss sunshine

1. Little Miss Sunshine only got one bad vote. Surprisingly, some people thought motivational speakers weren’t that irritating. But everybody agreed taking a vow of silence is really hard.

Music and Lyrics

2. Music and Lyrics got in second without any bad votes. And while everybody finds it difficult to write lyrics, not all of you found the pants Hugh Grant was wearing too tight. A small amount even said his pants was “nice!”

Ice Age

3. Ice Age was only voted on by young people. They were all excited about Ice Age 3 in 2009 and almost all liked Ice Age 2 less than part 1. Interestingly, the same amount of people would eat Sid if they were Diego, as the amount that would kiss him (a lot).

Sex and the City

4. Sex and the City: The Movie actually made the top 10 for the second month in a row! After seeing the new trailer, the voters were even more hyped as before. Also, they think Carrie will probably not go on with the wedding. Not sure what that’s all about, but I’m sure it’s fascinating stuff for the Sex and the City fans. Just kidding girls, but that’s Shannon’s thing.

Smart People

5. Smart People dropped down on the list when one boy voted it wasn’t worth his popcorn. Strangely, he said it would probably be a hit and Sarah Jessica Parker would only make the movie better. As for the people that thought it was worth their popcorn, the most enjoyed grumpy people and also liked Ellen Page.

27 Dresses

6. 27 Dresses makes for the third pink movie on this list. I was quite surprised it didn’t get any bad votes, but maybe the haters just didn’t see it yet. Also, the voters all wanted to get married tomorrow. Maybe that’s because they had to choose between tomorrow and never. But hey, our readers might just be the marrying type of people.

The Talented Mr. Ripley

7. The Talented Mr. Ripley was enjoyed just one vote more by the girls. They almost all seemed to have forgotten who Jude Law is and prefer a thriller over a horror movie.

The Station Agent

8. The Station Agent was enjoyed by people who’ll take a good drama over an action movie any time. They all like Peter Dinklage and also all like him more than Mini-Me.

Cashback

9. Cashback didn’t shock anybody with its amount of nudity. It was a movie enjoyed by both the young and the old and half of the people who voted even liked working night shifts at the supermarket.

Blow

10. Blow is closing this month’s top 10. People that liked it probably weren’t blow-lovers themselves, since they rather eat some delicious popcorn. Still, they don’t mind all those drugs movies being made and I’m glad they all liked the great soundtrack that came with the movie.

So there you have it. Some stats and facts about you, the visitors of this site and the movies of last month. I hope you enjoyed the impressions we did in March. And maybe you even found a movie worth checking.

Tuesday I will be back to suggest a movie for the top 10 in April. Thanks for voting!
