  February Top 10!

feb walle

As you might have noticed February 2008 is over, and this means it’s time for a movie top 10 for last month! We’ve been doing this for a little over a month now and what a fun time it has been. Thanks everybody for visiting, taking the movie polls and leaving your kind comments. It has been fun to build this small community with all of you. A small community of movie lovers out there on this very very big internet.

As I said, I thought it would be cool to do a monthly movie top 10. So based on your votes, here are the ten most and best voted movies in February:

wall-e

1. Number one is Wall-e, the charming robot, trying to clean the world in his own way. Taking the first first place might have something to do with the small promotion we did with Wall-e. This is why it got a lot of votes and got a high ranking. It might also be because everybody voted Pixar just stands for quality.

amelie

2. Amelie is number two. The incredible sweet baby of Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Surprisingly, most people think the rest of the French cinema is nothing special.

spirited away

3. Spirited Away, it just might be one of the best rated animes around. And based on the votes spirits are pretty popular on our site.

where in the world is osama bin laden

4. Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden? It seems people still want to know. And based on the votes, the same amount of people think Osama will be captured as the people that don’t.

sex and the city

5. Sex and the City: The Movie. Almost everybody voted they are super exited for tv shows to come to the big screen — and in particular this tv show. The new trailer can be found here.

i am legend

6. I am Legend. Surprisingly, this movie didn’t get any negative votes. But even more shocking might be that everybody thinks humanity will destroy itself!

magnolia

7. Magnolia. While almost equally loved by men and women, nobody think P.T. Anderson can make a better movie than this.

sweeney todd

8. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is loved by people that never go to musicals. And after watching this movie, they prefer to stay away from the local pies.

murderball

9. Murderball shows us we mostly have American visitors. Nobody is cheering for the Canadian team…

no country for old men

10. No Country for Old Men is last on this list, but certainly not the least. The people that voted for this movie were equally impressed with Bardem’s hairdo as with the Coen brothers.

So that’s it! Thanks for voting everybody and don’t forget you can still vote for all of the movies. The votes will be open forever!

Thanks again, we really love to share the joy of cinema with all of you.
